Nobody to Know There’s no one to know, no body to see No fairweather friend, and no enemy There's nothing to do, no body to be There is no you, and there is no me I´m so alone, with no one to see I'm so alone, I can't even find me I'm so alone, I can't be more free No hero will come, in the nick of time No numbers to sum, no mountain to climb There is no reason, there is no rhyme No moment to seize, 'cause there is no time I´m so alone, with no one to see I'm so alone, I can't even find me I'm so alone, I can't be more free No god on my side, to chide me with wrath No guru to guide, 'cause there is no path There is no birth, there is no breath Then at the end, there's even no death I´m so alone, with no one to see I'm so alone, I can't even find me I'm so alone, I can't be more free Not much from your touch, no sound from your bell There is no heaven, and there is no hell No eye to see, no nose to smell No hero to hail, no tale to tell I´m so alone, with no one to see I'm so alone, I can't even find me I'm so alone, I can't be more free

BORN IN A THORNBUSH Born in a thornbush I can't settle down Shiftin' and movin' all around I can't stand up , I can't sit down Ain't no comfort to be found I feel a man hangin' on the cross Or the sailor with his albatross Or Gadaffi hidin' in the ground Ain't no comfort to be found Ain't no comfort to be found I was booooooorn in a thornbush, now I seeeeeeeee I'm stuck inside, can't get free No need for a jailer or a key Sentries surrounding me I always seem to be in pain Sometimes I think I'm insane World unwound upside down Ain't no comfort to be found Ain't no comfort to be found I was booooooorn in a thornbush, now I seeeeeeeee I'm stuck inside, can't get free No need for a jailer or a key Sentries surrounding me Born in a thornbush, ain't no comfort to be found Born in a thornbush, ain't no comfort to be found

CAREFREE DAYS One day you may just find, that everything comes from your mind One day you may decide, there's nothin' to find outside those carefree days 'n summer haze look like forever we think that they never will change look like, look like, forever One day you may just find, that everything comes from your mind One day you may decide, there's no need to run 'n hide those carefree days 'n summer haze look like forever we think that they never will change look like, look like, forever You may jump up and down or curl up on the ground those carefree days 'n summer haze look like forever we think that they never will change look like, look like, forever

Standin' On A Platform I'm standin' on a platform, waitin' for a train Don't know where I'm goin', standin' in the rain   So many platforms,  so many signs I'm wonderin' which train will be mine When's my train 'a comin', it's been so long Soon it will come and then be gone So many platforms,  so many signs I'm wonderin' which train will be mine I see a man standin' dressed in red He's the son of a man, with a dream in his head Dreamed of his son, while he lay in bed He's the son of a man, who dreamed in red So many platforms,  so many signs I'm wonderin' which train will be mine The man in red began to fly He flew so high, up in the sky So many platforms,  so many signs I'm wonderin' which train will be mine I'm standin' on a platform, waitin' for a train

IMAGINED DREAM Imagine having no need to learn And imagine having nothing to yearn Imagine if you dream this dream tonight And never ever wake to daylight Imagine when you sleep tonight Dreaming a world where every thing's alright Dreaming this dream tonight Saying good night, and turning off the light You're never too warm or too cold And you never have to get old Where's there's no need to eat at all And where you fly high but never fall Imagine when you sleep tonight Dreaming a world where every thing's alright Dreaming this dream tonight Saying good night, and turning off the light Imagine when you sleep tonight Dreaming a world where every thing's alright Dreaming this dream tonight Saying good night, and turning off the light

OPEN WOUND Baby my mind is like an open wound It hurts me every time you make a move Every time you talk, every time you walk away When I make you cry and you try to say goodbye Baby my mind is like an open wound It hurts me every time you make a move I can count on the pain, keeps comin'back again It'll wax n wane, ´n drive me near insane When I think I'm healin' and I'm feelin' pretty good I'll be blindsided by the pain again Baby my mind is like an open wound It hurts me every time you make a move

Human Confusion Look for the chairman the queen or the king; You'll find a name you won’t find a thing. They're merely imagined, they're not really there Try to find them, they vanish in the air Human confusion is what I see Don't we all believe our dream It's what we see All of the things I normally see Merely imagined, made up by me My fabrications, they're not really there I try to find them, they vanish in the air Human confusion is what I see Don't we all believe our dream It's what we see, what we see, it´s what we see This is a lesson I need to repeat It's so subtle and oh so sweet It's known by very few men I'll say it again and again Human confusion is what I see Don't we all believe our dream It's what we see , what we see, it´s what we see

Gotta Get Away Gotta get away, I can't stay Gotta get away, today I can´t stay another day Gotta get away, far away Gotta stop lickin' honey off, a razor blade Gotta get away, today I been told, some bad news There ain't no refuge There's nowhere to hide, I've been taken for a ride Everything I thought was wrong Now I gotta sing this song Gotta get away, I can't stay Gotta get away, today I can´t stay another day Gotta get away, far away Gotta stop lickin' honey off, a razor blade Gotta get away, today It's a state_of emergency No time to bargain, or plea Tsunamis are comin', everybody should be runnin' Now everybody hurry with me It's a state emergency.....chorus

about

Sean Hunt's influences and mini commentary.. "Everything Under The Sun"
Please forgive my verbosity, I feel recently liberated from the tyrannical insistence on succinctness demanded and exacted by the songwriting process. This present piece has only one limitation, an intended respect for and valuation of your precious time. I will try to walk that fine line somewhere between minimalism and elegant succinctness.
Some of my influences have been my Irish family and heritage, 30 year of hedonistic self indulgences (bizarre pseudo-renunciation), Psychology studies and practice for many years, 20 years of experience trying to understand, control and develop my mind through extraordinary guidance by various Buddhist holy beings and meditation masters, study, teachings and years of solitary meditation retreat in Scotland and Spain.
I have been profoundly influenced also by the songwriting of Leonard Cohen. I was raised in Montreal and lived in the same neighbourhood as Leonard Cohen. We never met, other than crossing pre-verbal paths in the very early hours of the morning in Dusty's Diner in the Town of Mount Royal, both probably "under the influence" of similar substances, bedraggled as could be. We subsequently followed very similar paths, living for years on mountains as meditating monks, hanging out with holy men, descending our different hills, and making music again. I regard Leonard Cohen as the preeminent poet of our generation and our most influential songwriter and performer, whose legacy, though only in it's infancy, is becoming more and more obvious in our times. I have listened carefully to his music for over 40 years and have been very inspired by his eloquence, elegance, profound wisdom and humility.
What you will find in this CD:
- completely original songs (from themes learned and borrowed)
- a selection of interesting instruments well played
- some ancient wisdoms
- a friend's father's meaningful dream interpreted
- some important common cognitive errors revealed
- relationship mind-pain described
- Colonel Qadaffi, Jesus and the "Ancient Mariner" mentioned in the same verse, possibly (probably) for the first time
- how much we hallucinate without knowing that we do so
- a song that attempts to describe Highest Yoga Tantra simply
- a very simple ditty, a summary song, outro of sorts, synthesising my personal understanding of "Inconceivability" teachings given by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in Cascais, Portugal in October 2013
- many references to the ultimate nature of reality, which is the answer to the very important question that we all have: "What's It All About?"
What I hope that you will not find in this CD:
- silly little love songs
- intentional musical dissonance or arrogance
- meandering meaninglessness
- contrived and intentionally obtuse poetic aural masturbation intending to lead you down a path that leads nowhere
- disturbing noise (hopefully)
I will be eternally grateful to Venerable Kelsang Tharchin for pointing me in the right directions for 20 years, and then insisting repeatedly during the last few months that Jem and I follow through with completing this CD, for the benefit and enjoyment of others..
Sean Hunt, Glasgow, March 31st, 2013

..and from jem;
well, i was sitting in a yurt in somerset having spent a remarkable 5 months with some buddhists in ulverston. i was a little catatonic. and there were no distractions now for me; no internet, tv etc.
all i had was my guitar, and some time. and of course some lyrics sean had sent me. it was so quiet outside. i had to make some noise so i knew i was awake.
i stopped picking my ears, and started filling them.
stuff happened. it just came. it hadn't happened just like that for years. i mean ages!!!
lyrics, tunes, and then songs.
and 10 months later we've created a mini monster, low-fi, heartfelt, sweet little album of songs.

so i'd like to thank sean firstly for 'helping' me out of a hole i didn't know existed, and to those who supported our early ideas....and continued to do so. ta x
