Ode to Gen Tharchin Tharchin was a man, who had the world in his hands He took it all apart, and he put it in his heart Yes he took it all apart, and he put it in his heart One day he changed, from a boy to a girl Then he went and changed, the whole wide world Yes then he went and changed the whole wide world Like a surgeon with a scalpel, he peeled it all away Layer after layer, 'til the light of day He peeled it all away, 'til the light of day Like a surgeon with a scalpel, he peeled it all away Layer after layer, 'til the light of day He peeled it all away, 'til the light of day Left with empty space, nothing more than this Then he found his mind, full of bliss and still Yes he found his mind, still and full of bliss

about

All of my share of funds from this collection of songs will be used for attending teachings...Sean

Track 01 - Ode To Gen Tharchin. He inspired and inspires many with his wisdom, his wit, his love, his teachings and his example, impeccable, precise, consistant.

Track 02 - Serlingpa said To Me - Kelsang Tharchin played the part of Serlingpa in an NKT play in a New York KMC festival a few years ago, before he became unwell. Serlingpa taught Bodhichitta to Atisha and was revered by Atisha as being superior to all of his other teachers because he taught him Bodhichitta. Kelsang Tharchin will be teaching a course at Kailash in Switzerland in September and this song is part of my begging bowl spiritual busking efforts to attend these teachings. The song can be listened to for free here but a small donatuion is required to download the song (£1 or more)edless to say the song stems from my own relationship with Gen Tharchin, is about that relationship, and explains why I am asking for financial help to attend these Bodhichitta-related teachings teachings. It is easy for me to imagine that Gen Tharchin is an emanation of Serlingpa. Please excuse the amateur musicality, I was unaided by my collaborator Jem on this effort.
